"We are looking for drummers who share our passion for music and will help act as brand ambassadors for Yamaha Drums, working collectively, as we strive for excellence and authenticity in every performance," states Matthew Rudin, marketing manager of drums at Yamaha.
Previously known as the Local Heroes Program, this refreshed and expanded version—now called “Yamaha Pocket Society” reflects our commitment to building a close-knit community of real-world musicians who are already championing the brand in their everyday work.
Program Highlights:
Pocket Society members are selected based on their visibility as performers, educators, or online content creators, along with their alignment with Yamaha’s brand values and genuine use of Yamaha drum products.
Selected members will receive:
  • Special product pricing through their preferred Yamaha dealer
  • Yamaha swag and promotional items
  • Early access to new products and feedback opportunities
  • Special Event Access (NAMM, PASIC, drum clinics, etc.)
  • A semi-annual newsletter and opportunities to be featured in future Yamaha marketing efforts
Participation in the program is by nomination or referral, with Yamaha dealers and District Managers (DMs) playing a key role in identifying qualified candidates.
Applications are reviewed by the Yamaha Drum Marketing Team, with an emphasis on authenticity, community involvement, and passion for Yamaha gear.
