[Keyboard Instruments / Digital Pianos] What can I do if the sustain pedal operation is reversed?

Last Update: 10/30/2020

The sustain pedal operation can become reversed if the pedal is pressed down while the power is being turned ON.
Below is a procedure that may solve the problem.

Starting with the power ON:

  1. Turn the power off.
  2. Unplug the sustain pedal.
  3. Plug in the sustain pedal.
  4. Turn the power on.
*DO NOT step on the sustain pedal while turning the instrument on.

If the above procedure does not work, try a Factory Reset.
This is usually accomplished by holding down the highest white key while turning the power on.
For detail on the factory reset, please refer to the manual of each model.
*All user stored data will be deleted. If the current settings and data are not expendable, create a backup before executing the Factory Reset.
*Be aware that some portable keyboards do not have this Factory Reset function.
