Eight-Part Concert Series Reveals The Complexity Of Franz Liszt

Several pianists renowned for their interpretations of Liszt's music will perform, including Koji Attwood, Rufus Choi, Henry Wong Doe, Gila Goldstein, Gayle Martin Henry, Christiaan Kuyvenhoven (a prizewinner in the 2005 International Franz Liszt Piano Competition), Frank Levy, Jerome Lowenthal, Jeffrey Swann and Yu Zhang.
Six concerts will be presented, each covering a specific theme:
March 23Etudes of Transcendence
March 30 Transcriptions
April 6 The Diabolical and the Sublime
April 20 Rhapsodies, Impromptus, Ballades
April 27 The Traveler: Years of Pilgrimage
May 4 Large Forms
The concerts take place on Thursday evenings, March 23 to May 4, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15. A series of four concerts are $50 and the full series is $100.
The program will take place at Yamaha Artist Services, Inc., 3rd Floor Piano Salon, which is located at 689 Fifth Avenue [Enter at 54th Street] in New York City.
