YC OS v1.2
OS v1.2 expands the YC experience even further with new sounds, EQ effect types, workflow enhancements and more, giving you more versatility than ever.
[ ROTARY SPEAKER ]
Based on your feedback, we’ve added a new “Studio” Rotary Speaker, featuring a wider stereo field, increased low rotor and high horn separation, as well as an increased presence to cut through mixes.
[ FM ORGAN TYPES ]
Helping to broaden your creativity are three new FM organ types – titled F4, F5, and F6. These delve deeper into FM synthesis by adding modulators – or operators – that add upper harmonics to carriers, yet do not sound. The user interface of drawbars, coupled with modulators, create vastly new approaches to the traditional drawbar organ experience, bringing the traditional drawbar concept into the 21st century.
[ EQ TYPES ]
You’ll find the addition of three new EQ types to the Keys effects and the Effect Section, appearing as E1, E2 and E3. They offer specific EQ settings for individual sections, giving you added tone-shaping tools on a per-section basis.
[ TOUCH SENSITIVITY ]
Touch Sensitivity puts you in control of how your keyboard interacts with the tone generator. You can set the depth and offset in Keys A and B, easily make detailed adjustments, then save your favorites in a LIVE SET.
[ LIVE SETS ]
There are 16 new Live Sets using the new FM organ types, Studio Rotary Speaker type, and EQ settings.
[ UPDATED EG/FILTER CONTROL LAYOUT ]
The EG/Filter controls in Sound Settings have been changed to improve overall workflow.
If you have an idea for a new sound or feature for our next update, please let us know!
