The YX-2035PR integrates premium features into a compact instrument that’s perfect for students deepening their involvement in the world of percussion playing at school or at home. The 3.5-octave playing surface is outfitted with premium Pao Rosa bars that provide bright tones like our professional rosewood xylophone, while wider 1.5" bars improve playability for beginners and intermediate students.
Also new to the Yamaha xylophone lineup is a gas spring height adjustment system promotes player comfort and proper technique, while also making the instrument easier to transport.

Features
Pao Rosa Tone Bars
Expertly crafted tone bars made of pao rosa wood offer similar physical and acoustic properties to the rosewood used on our professional models. Wider 1.5" tone bars improve playability by offering a larger sweet spot for beginners, while also providing an easier transition to high-end models as they progress in their musical journey. Pao rosa is more sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity compared to previous tone bar materials, which can make it more prone to cracking. Over time, natural elements in the wood may cause a light, white powdery residue to form on the surface of the tone bars. This is completely normal and will not impact the quality or performance of the product. If desired, simply wipe away the residue with a dry cloth.
Gas Spring Height Adjustment
The YX-2035PR features a gas spring-type height adjustment mechanism that makes handling and transportation safer, as well as allowing players to set the instrument up to match their own physique. An adjustment range of 7.48" comfortably accommodates users of varying heights, which is especially beneficial for schools. Handle the instrument with care when moving it to ensure it stays in excellent condition. After repositioning, it's a good idea to double-check the height, as movement may slightly affect the set position.

Worry-Free Handling
The drop-lock resonator mechanism is designed to stop the resonator pipe from dropping during transportation over rough and uneven surfaces. Please refer to the instruction manual for how to install and remove the resonator pipe.
Easy to Transport
The caster diameter has been increased to 3" (76 mm) to make the instrument more easily movable. A swivel stop function has also been added to the casters, with brakes located on the player side.

Drop cover included
A cover that protects the instrument from dust and scratches is provided as standard accessory.
