YSL-882O Xeno Tenor Trombone with F Attachment

A one-piece bell has an axial (lengthwise) seam, making it a continuous extension of the instrument's material. This results in pure, uniform resonance and superior tone.

The bell is 8 2/3" in diameter. The larger bell in combination with other design improvements, produces a singing, colorful open sound with a projecting solid core.

The YSL-882OD bell is the same slightly oversized 220 millimeter (8-2/3 inch) type that is standard on Xeno trombones.

* The detachable bell on the YSL-882OD is similar to the YSL-882O one-piece bell, but separates at the base of the flare.

The F attachment features a gentle open wrap that minimizes changes in blowing resistance when the F attachment is used, for freer, more uniform overall playing feel and resistance.

A yellow-brass narrow slide contributes to smooth, delicate tone that is also clear and well defined. Other advantages include comfortable playing resistance plus ample power and brilliance.

The balancer is a compact design that helps to deliver well-focused sound.

Not only does a detachable bell allow more compact storage, but the added weight of the bell screw section helps to produce a tighter sound with improved directionality.
