Yamaha Welcomes Eclectic Drummer Ryan Brown to Company’s Legendary DTX Artist Roster
BUENA PARK, Calif. (August 07, 2019) ― Yamaha Drums today announced the signing of Ryan Brown to the company's DTX artist roster.
Based in Los Angeles, Brown has performed for reputable artists and composers alike while maintaining a strong footprint in the education realm. In addition to drumming for Dweezil Zappa, Brown plays with Los Angeles-based bands The Young Royals, Black Belt Karate and Madras, among others. Brown can also be heard on releases by Foreigner, Hannah Montana, Clay Aiken, Nick Lachey, Jesse McCartney, Heather Graham as well as on the movie soundtracks for Ice Age: Continental Drift (Adam Schlesinger), Kung Fu Panda (Hans Zimmer and John Powell) and The Dark Knight (Hans Zimmer). Additionally, he has performed on recordings with Alex Lifeson, Earl Slick, Elliot Easton and Rudy Sarzo, and has appeared as a sideline musician in numerous TV shows and movies, including Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End, Desperate Housewives, Jag and Samantha Who? Brown is on the drum faculty at Musicians Institute in Hollywood and teaches private lessons.
He chooses the Yamaha DTX-Multi 12 electronic percussion pad and Yamaha EAD10 acoustic electronic drum module to elevate his sound for implementing electronic elements into various applications of his work.
