Yamaha Upgrades ProVisionaire Software with Advanced Control and Monitoring Features, Expanded Device Compatibility
Buena Park, Calif. (June 10, 2019) — Yamaha is releasing new versions of its ProVisionaire® software designed to control a wide range of Yamaha equipment, adding new monitoring functions and expanding the range of ProVisionaire-compatible devices.
The new software upgrades (3.5) of ProVisionaire Control (for Windows) and ProVisionaire Touch (for iOS) provide significant operational and system management enhancements. Yamaha will feature the new ProVisionaire technology at InfoComm 2019 this week in Orlando, Florida, in Yamaha Booth 6461 and the Yamaha Demo Room (W224D) at the Orange County Convention Center.
ProVisionaire is free software for creating customized touch-screen remotes and for configuration and control of a variety of Yamaha products. It allows the user to simply drag and drop widgets such as faders and switches onto a screen to create intuitive original touch-panel controllers dedicated to the scope of a specific system or project.
The software can control a wide range of Yamaha equipment, such as MTX/MRX series signal processors, CL/QL/TF series digital mixers, Rio and Tio series I/O boxes, the XMV and PC series power amplifiers and even MusiCast A/V and Disklavier keyboard products.
The new versions give installers and integrators even greater ability to customize and match the software’s functions to their needs.
Version 3.5 of ProVisionaire Control adds advanced monitoring functionality, which can enhance system reliability in situations where multiple compatible devices are distributed throughout an area. Now, a single operator can monitor an entire system from one computer, easily detecting and resolving system faults and keeping track of device connection status.
With Version 3.5, ProVisionaire software is also compatible with a broader range of Yamaha professional audio devices and also the MSD series of video switchers from IDK Corporation, continuing the technology collaboration between the two companies that began earlier this year. Expanded compatibility with Yamaha and IDK equipment provides more comprehensive A/V system control for conference rooms, multi-purpose halls and theaters that support both audio and video content.
ProVisionaire Version 3.5 adds a Line Edit feature for numerical editing of preamplifier gain, frequency and other parameters via a keyboard, ensuring precise adjustment of installed equipment. A new Button Widget feature lets users recall assigned presets on multiple devices for centralized power management and other tasks that can contribute to enhanced overall system operating convenience. Finally, the ProVisionaire Amp Editor is an advanced design tool for amp system set-up and calibration.
“With these operational and system management enhancements, ProVisionaire is now even more fully equipped as a unified platform solution offering outstanding convenience and reliability for diverse commercial audio applications,” said Glenn Booth, director of marketing, Pro Audio, Yamaha Corporation of America. “The ProVisionaire series has grown to encompass every phase of sound system creation — from design and control to monitoring and management.”
The new ProVisionaire software is planned to be available in June. For more information, visit www.yamahaCA.com.
